Terms of Service
Last updated: May 26, 2026
Overview
Screenlet is a Chrome extension and browser-based editor that turns any website into a polished demo video — wrapped in a device mockup, optionally recorded with your webcam, microphone, and an AI voice agent, and edited with cinematic zoom. By installing or using Screenlet, or by purchasing a license, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the service.
Your license
A one-time purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable lifetime license to use Screenlet, including for commercial work (such as making demo videos for your own products or clients). One license is for one user.
You may not resell, sublicense, share, or redistribute your license key, nor attempt to circumvent licensing or usage limits. We may deactivate a license that is shared or used abusively.
AI-video credits & top-ups
The AI demo agent uses paid AI credits. A lifetime purchase includes a set number of agent videos; you can buy more at any time as top-ups. All other features — device mockups, manual recording, the webcam bubble, and the zoom editor — are unlimited.
Credits are tied to your license, are non-transferable, and have no cash value. The AI agent depends on a third-party AI provider and network availability, so it may occasionally be slow or temporarily unavailable.
Payments & refunds
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, who acts as the merchant of record. Prices are shown at checkout and are one-time charges (plus any top-ups you choose to buy).
Because Screenlet is a digital product delivered instantly (your license key is emailed right after purchase), purchases are generally non-refundable. That said, if something doesn’t work or you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we’ll work with you to make it right.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Screenlet to:
- create content that is illegal, deceptive, infringing, or that violates others’ rights or privacy;
- record or capture websites in a way that breaks their terms or applicable law;
- abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to bypass the AI agent, licensing, or credit limits.
Your content
The recordings, screenshots, and videos you create are yours. Screenlet is local-first — that content is created and stored on your device, not on our servers (see our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for the content you create and how you use it.
Intellectual property
Screenlet and its branding belong to us. The editor is built on the open-source OpenCut project, used under its license. These Terms don’t grant you any rights to our trademarks or to the underlying software beyond the license to use the product.
Disclaimer & limitation of liability
Screenlet is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI agent will produce any particular result.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
You can stop using Screenlet at any time. We may suspend or terminate a license that violates these Terms (for example, license sharing or abusive use). If we terminate without cause, we’ll refund any unused top-up credits where reasonable.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
